The Associate Product Marketing Manager, Tech Services and Platforms, is responsible for assisting with the go-to-market strategy, communication, tactics, materials and detailed plans for Product Marketing for Tech Services and Platforms. This position requires an interest in and aptitude for educational technology platforms and systems as well as strong communication, technical writing, and project management skills. This position will require the individual to help drive marketing and communication activities with a focus on the customer throughout the lifecycle.


The position will:

  • Assist with the creation of internal and customer-facing communications and materials including: email announcements, videos, demos, collateral, sales tools.
  • Support the launch of digital products for Tech Services and/or for HMH learning systems, including support for online preview, customer pilots, setting pre-defined goals, and measuring and monitoring success.
  • Help maintain strong, ongoing channels of communication with internal stakeholders, primarily: Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Product Development, Customer Experience, Technical Support, Technical Services, and Professional Services.
  • Help maintain clear and consistent communication with customers to provide information on platform and system releases and service, including: new features, new functionality, service disruptions, and development roadmap.
  • Be a knowledgeable resource about how HMH platforms work in order to assist sales efforts and customer relationships.
  • Support processes for online preview experience to ensure customer access to review digital materials and internal access for staff.
  • Help anticipate, monitor, and respond to competitive issues. Help develop strategic competitive information for Sales and Campaign Marketing.





  • BA/BS in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum 1 year experience in marketing or communications



  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing or communications





  • Familiarity with education technology development.  



  • Experience in marketing and communications.
  • Compelling presentation skills in small and large group settings.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent technical writing skills, a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of software/technology and familiarity with Agile development process, a plus.
  • Expert knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of analytics, basic video editing, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Certified Google Educator, a plus



  • Minimal travel required - 0-10%
  • Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
  • Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing) for 4+ hours.
  • The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
