The Senior Product Marketing Manager, Science creates and executes marketing plans that speak to customers’ needs, tell the HMH story, and ultimately drive revenue.

To bring customer-focused campaigns to life, you will collaborate with product managers and developers, channel and creative marketing colleagues, sales account executives, and others within the HMH organization.  You will use insights from these teams as well as market research to bring the customer voice to all campaigns.

The ideal candidate possesses a skillset that includes the use of digital marketing tactics and tools that drive edtech sales, subscription expansion, and retention growth through support of the complete customer journey.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, a multi-tasker, and will exude the daily energy and optimism needed to communicate product value internally and to the customer.  

 

Working in the Marketing department, the Senior Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for the following primary duties:

  • Collaborate on go to market strategy to create and execute marketing campaigns that reflect an understanding of the customer journey, from awareness to review to purchase.
  • Develop compelling customer-focused messaging that sparks interest and differentiates HMH solutions.
  • Partner with Marketing colleagues to develop compelling promotional content such as videos, product demos, and interactive brochures.
  • Use data and analytics to gauge effectiveness of campaigns in order to continuously improve campaign strategies and tactics.
  • Represent your solutions as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) when collaborating with or training cross-functional teams.
  • Develop engaging and effective sales enablement resources to ensure HMH sales executives can successfully position, market, and demonstrate HMH solutions. 
  • Analyze competitors’ programs to deliver winning sales strategies.

 

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum of 3 years marketing experience
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Adobe solutions
  • Experience creating and executing innovative marketing campaigns through multiple channels that drive demand
  • Self-starter: Driven to exceed goals, anticipate needs of the customer and the market, and take ownership of understanding shifts in the marketplace  
  • Independent thinker with leadership skills grounded in diplomatic communication and solid collaboration skills – able to lead or support as needed
  • Creative problem-solver who is flexible and solutions-oriented; can juggle multiple projects and pivot quickly based on internal or external stakeholder needs

 

Preferred but not necessary: skills/education/experience/working knowledge

  • BS/BA in related discipline
  • Science teaching experience
  • K-12 edtech marketing experience
  • Proficiency with video editing software, Photoshop, and Canva
