The Performance Measurement Analyst is responsible for providing operational support for supply chain processes, business data, enterprise applications, and technical expertise, allowing for meaningful business insights and solutions to business needs in HMH’s Warehouse and Distribution organization.  This includes Warehouse Management Systems optimization and enhancement, lean process improvement, business performance measurement, and data analysis and reporting.  Additionally, this role will act as a subject matter expert in projects across the Global Supply Chain organization.  


Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the identification of new or enhanced business functions of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and supporting software solutions, working with other team members in determining options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.
  • Using an analytical, data driven approach to solving problem as well as providing critical information thru reporting related to the Distribution Process(s)
  • Capability of creating and executing comprehensive and conclusive testing scenarios with test data and scripts
  • Ability to work collaboratively between business and technology organizations
  • Analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strict attention to detail and intensity around consistently delivering high quality outputs.

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics or another applicable field.
  • In lieu of degree, a minimum of 3+ years of relevant distribution management or supply chain technology experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Strong reasoning, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow company policy and provide work acceptable to internal and external controls. Must meet “Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002” compliance requirements for testing
  • Proficient with relational databases, SQL, BI platforms
  • Querying experience (SQL, Microsoft access, AS400/I-Series, other software)
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience



  • Microsoft .Net development and ETL tools


Physical Requirements:

  • Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing)
  • The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
  • Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls and online meetings
