Position Summary

Are you an organized self-starter with an interest in educational marketing?

The Associate Marketing Manager will contribute to the execution of marketing campaigns for assessment, intervention, classroom resources, and professional learning offerings from Fountas & Pinnell Literacy™.

Working in close collaboration with other Fountas & Pinnell Literacy™ Marketing Team members, the associate manager will be responsible for detail-oriented awareness of all in-flight campaigns, ready to support any task with competence and adaptability. This person will bring operational excellence to marketing initiatives for lead generation, thought leadership, sales enablement, and customer support, with the opportunity to gain expertise in messaging, audience analysis, website development, content curation, sales collateral, and channel selection.

This role will coordinate with the Editorial, Sales, Product Management, Professional Development, and Digital teams to determine ongoing needs and identify opportunities for workflow improvement.


  • Contribute to the operational execution of marketing campaigns including email, web content, PPC, blogging, social media, and sales tools
  • Collect, analyze, and report on marketing campaign performance data
  • Own strategy and execution of internal and external newsletter content
  • Copyedit all new print and digital marketing materials
  • Develop version control strategy for archive of marketing materials
  • Review legacy print and digital marketing materials for corrections, enhancements, and accessibility
  • Evaluate processes, procedures, and quality to gain efficiencies
  • Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays

Basic Requirements

  • Go-getter who can stay organized while working on the fly
  • 2+ years of marketing experience; digital marketing skills a plus
  • B2B marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, business, communications
  • Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills
  • Experience and expertise in proofing creative
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Competence in contributing to multiple complex projects simultaneously and successfully
  • Comfort with working with data
  • Collaborative approach to teamwork with strong interpersonal skills; positive outlook with an adaptable work style; thoughtful, kind, self-motivated demeanor
  • Ability to remain calm and focused when working against deadlines amid shifting priorities
  • Motivated to participate while also eager to learn
  • Travel: Less than 10% a year

Preferred Requirements

  • Certification in proofreading
  • MBA
  • Expertise in multi-channel campaigns and tactics including email, web content, blogging, case studies, videos, and social engagement
  • Experience with HubSpot marketing automation, CRM, social media, digital platforms, Google Analytics

Physical Requirements:

  • Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
  • Constantly operates a computer
  • Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams and as well as work independently
  • Able to commute to Portsmouth NH office periodically (less than 50% of time onsite)
