We are seeking a detail-oriented Salesforce Administrator with strong configuration expertise to join HMH’s Digital Transformation team. This role functions as a Configuration Specialist, responsible for the hands-on setup, support, and continuous improvement of a brand-new Salesforce organization. You will play a critical role in migrating legacy processes into a modern, scalable Salesforce ecosystem, focusing primarily on Sales Cloud to drive global sales efficiency. Working from India for our US-based headquarters, you will collaborate with architects and business analysts to build declarative solutions that minimize custom code. The ideal candidate is a "builder" at heart who enjoys technical problem-solving and is comfortable working in an agile environment that overlaps with US business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Core Configuration & Declarative Development
  • Execute complex declarative builds, including Custom Objects, Page Layouts, Dynamic Forms, and Record Types, ensuring they align with HMH’s architectural standards.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated automation using Salesforce Flow (Screen Flows, Record-Triggered Flows, and Scheduled Flows) to replace legacy manual processes.
  • Configure sophisticated validation rules, formula fields, and assignment rules to maintain data integrity and automate lead/opportunity routing.
  • Manage the end-to-end deployment process using Change Sets or DevOps tools to move configurations from Sandbox to Production.

Sales Cloud Support & Optimization

  • Serve as the primary admin for Sales Cloud, managing the Lead-to-Order lifecycle, Opportunity management, and Forecasting tools.
  • Configure and optimize Sales Productivity tools such as High Velocity Sales, Salesforce Maps, or Einstein Activity Capture.
  • Collaborate with US stakeholders to refine Sales processes, identifying opportunities to simplify the user experience for sales representatives.

Org Health & Security Management

  • Maintain a robust security model by managing Profiles, Permission Sets, Sharing Rules, and Public Groups.
  • Conduct regular "org health" checks, identifying and retiring unused fields or redundant automations to keep the new org "lean."
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of Experience Cloud sites or Service Cloud features (Cases, Omnichannel) as the digital transformation project expands.

Data Quality & User Enablement

  • Perform high-volume data migrations and cleanups using Data Loader or Import Wizard as part of the transition from legacy systems.
  • Create and maintain custom Reports and Dashboards to provide US leadership with real-time visibility into transformation KPIs.
  • Provide Tier 2 technical support for US users, documenting common issues and creating "Self-Service" training materials for the new platform.

Qualifications Required

  • Experience: 3–5 years of Salesforce Administration experience, specifically in a "Configuration Specialist" or "Implementation" capacity.
  • Platform Expertise: Proven track record of building complex solutions in Sales Cloud.
  • Automation Skills: Advanced proficiency in Salesforce Flow; must be able to demonstrate experience moving processes from Workflow Rules/Process Builder to Flow.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator is required.
  • Communication: Fluent in English with the ability to lead technical requirement-gathering calls with US-based team members.
  • Shift Availability: Ability to work a shift that provides at least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Preferred

  • Multi-Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience configuring Service Cloud (Case Management, Knowledge) or Experience Cloud (Partner/Customer Portals).
  • Certifications: Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder.
  • Transformation Experience: Prior experience working on a "Greenfield" implementation or a major Digital Transformation project.
  • Tools: Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, or Flosum) and Agile project management tools like JIRA.
