The Director of Learning Experience - Drives and visualizes strategic decisions around componentry and experience. Ensures learning experience set up to deliver student growth, from both user and internal-systems perspectives. Establishes digital prioritization and accountable for articulating program value proposition.

Responsible for

  • Component format and offering, given common use cases for development clarify
  • Implementation of new planning and dev. practices around mapping learning outcomes to drive integrated development
  • Prioritization of platform/metadata/digital content work and partner integrations
  • Digital competition analysis
  • End-to-end digital experience, which includes decisions around digital componentry, instructional design/navigation, assess. strategy, and metadata, reports/recommendations
  • Strategy and execution of metadata development, including learning spine
  • Assets that illustrate digital capabilities
  • Leading the team



8-10+ years of educational publishing experience

5+ years of learning experience

Subject-matter expertise in specific curriculum area - Math

Teaching experience helpful

Good design/aesthetic sensibilities

Experience developing learning solutions for the K–12 market (especially in a digital environment)


• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
• The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
