A Senior Fellow is a thought leader who contributes to the vision, content development, and consultant development in a specific practice area.  Practice areas are defined due to market demand and best practice research.  The thought leader provides leadership to a cadre of consultants specializing in the practice area through development of the content.  The Senior Fellow becomes the known expert for the practice area by publishing, keynoting, social media and presenting to customers.

 

The Senior Fellow will collaborate with product management and the content development teams to establish a clearly articulated vision and set of outcomes and content for the practice area. To accomplish these the Senior Fellow will:                  

  • Set an innovative direction for the practice area portfolio
  • Continually stay abreast of the research base for the practice area
  • Review market research gathered by Product management
  • Gather customer feedback through keynotes, and focus groups
  • Promote the practice area through social media, publications and white papers

     

    The Senior Fellow will contribute to the growth of the ICLE business by supporting the sales teams in the practice area and the overall business by:

  • Conducting focus groups with customers at events
  • Participating in regional and national summits
  • Pre-sale meetings with customers to shape the scope of work
  • Strategic Planning with customers to define the vision and implementation plan

     

    The Senior Fellow will assist with the recruiting, training and certification of a cadre of experts in the practice area. 

     

    The Senior Fellow is the major spokesperson for the practice area and will have the following responsibilities:

  • Keynoting
  • Collaborating with the implementation team to develop large-scale solutions with high quality implementation in partnership with customers. 
  • Networking with customers at strategic HMH events
  • Collaborate with Model Schools Conference team to promote the practice area
  • Meet practice area annual billings target for practice area
  • Assist with the attainment of the ICLE services annual bookings target

     

    Education Level and or relevant experience 

  • Minimum Master of Education
  • 5+ years of prior Experience in the Practice Area
  • Experience working at the particular level of impact at the K-12 level

    Knowledge and skills:

  • Professional, cross-team oriented attitude 
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills 
  • Strong organizational skills which demonstrate the ability to simultaneously manage a variety of strategic initiatives 
  • Practice flexible innovative approaches to problem solving in challenging situations
  • High-level communication skills working with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to convey deep understanding of pedagogy 
  • Proven ability to build internal and external relationships that foster credibility and trust
  • Proven ability to create and deliver high-level specialized presentations
  • Strong understanding of change theory

     

    Physical Requirements:

  • Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
  • The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
  • Ability to work in cross functional teams and as well as work independently
  • Commitment to further learning and training
  • Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends, and travel extensively up to 80% – driving and flying
