Position Summary

Do you have an aptitude for big-picture strategy and a track record of excellent performance?  The Marketing Manager will contribute to marketing campaign strategy, planning, and execution for assessment, intervention, classroom resources, and professional learning offerings from Fountas & Pinnell Literacy™.

Working in close collaboration with the Editorial, Sales, Product Management, Professional Development, and Digital teams, the manager will have responsibility for lead generation and customer retention to help achieve business goals. This person will develop messaging, audience analysis, website content, sales collateral, video content, and channel selection for marketing initiatives such as lead generation, thought leadership, sales enablement, and customer support.

This role will partner with others to determine supporting activities, interface with the broader Marketing Department to deliver a successful campaign, and be accountable for campaign strategy, development, and implementation.


  • Collaborate with team members on shared priorities to co-develop high-level strategy and execution plans
  • Create marketing content and collateral
  • Develop and execute B2B marketing plans that may include PPC, email campaigns, website updates, videos, sales tools, webinars, blog posts, social media content, advertising, podcast episodes, participation in industry conferences and events
  • Measure campaign effectiveness, provide regular status reports, and deliver post-campaign analysis with insightful takeaways
  • Implement effective go-to-market strategies and high impact campaigns for key market segments
  • Identify sustained marketing strategies for perennial backlist favorites
  • Support field marketing needs to drive acquisition, increase engagement, and encourage retention

Basic Requirements

  • Nimble thinker who can translate strategies into deliverables
  • 6+ years of marketing experience; digital marketing skills a plus
  • Strong B2B marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, business, communications
  • Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills
  • Competence in planning, managing, prioritizing, and completing multiple complex projects simultaneously and successfully
  • Accustomed to working with data and comfortable with multiple analytics programs
  • Collaborative approach to teamwork with strong interpersonal skills and eagerness to learn; positive outlook with an adaptable work style; thoughtful, kind, self-motivated demeanor
  • Ability to remain calm and focused when working against deadlines amid shifting priorities
  • Location: U.S. remote
  • Travel: Less than 10% a year

Preferred Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish
  • MBA
  • Demonstrable expertise in multi-channel campaigns and tactics including email, web content, blogging, case studies, videos, and social engagement
  • Experience with HubSpot marketing automation, CRM, social media, digital platforms, Google Analytics
  • A pragmatic bias towards action
