What you will do

 

The Product Manager, is an individual contributor within the Product Management team responsible for the product management, planning, and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: the definition of the market/opportunity, defining the product release vision, gathering, and prioritizing product and partner requirements, and working closely with partners and internal stakeholders to ensure that profitability and partner satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager ensures that their product line supports the organization’s overall strategy and mission.

 

Responsibilities

 

Strategy Development & Execution:

 

  • Manage products throughout the product life cycle from solution innovation, definition, release, and end-of-life planning.
  • Assist in the development of project charters for product releases with prioritized features and corresponding business case justification including financial analysis.

Understand the Market Needs & Gather Feedback: 

 

  • Assess technology trends, and current and emerging competitors to inform product direction; utilize and gather market and industry research and analysis to inform a long-range product roadmap.
  • Perform market needs analysis to better understand the problems and needs of potential and existing customers. 
  • Perform win/loss analysis and RFP reviews to identify product strengths and opportunities.
  • Lead beta and pilot programs to gather early partner feedback and support a successful large-scale launch.

Responsible for Product Commercial Success: 

  • Identify and facilitate business process changes to improve organizational and product line performance.
  • Analyze product performance to make data-driven decisions to drive business growth and profitability.

Provide Cross Functional Collaboration & Communication:

 

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, aligning product vision and addressing feedback.
  • Create and maintain product value propositions, market requirements, and goals.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing on go-to-market strategy and launch activities.
  • Develop and execute company-wide go-to-market plans with key stakeholders.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure products are meeting market needs, socialize product vision, strategy, and planning outcomes.
  • Serve as product expert for internal and external stakeholders.

 

Education and Experience

 

  • Minimum five years of experience in product management, product development, product marketing, business analysis, or related discipline, with at least one year in enterprise software product management.
  • Experience applying Product Lifecycle Management processes such as product requirements definition, product business plan development, new product introduction, etc.
  • Proven success in developing and launching complex technology products.
  • Bachelor's degree in education, technical or business discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience with AI implementation and MAP Growth is a plus.
  • Knowledge of assessments and the educational marketplace is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize and balance complex technical and business requirements.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to implement products and processes effectively.
  • Proficiency in market research, competitive analysis, and roadmap development.
  • Experience with product launches, alpha and beta testing, and internal product guides.
  • Ability to establish and report on product KPIs and metrics.
  • Solid understanding of technology, business intelligence, and analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25%.

 

Salary range:  70k – 100k.
