What you’ll do:
In the role of Senior Account Executive, you will be a vital force in promoting student success within the school districts of the assigned territory. You will forge partnerships with account administrators and educators to deliver tailored solutions that enhance educational outcomes. Your responsibility includes comprehensive territory management, encompassing both existing accounts and the identification of promising new business opportunities.
Working in the Southeast Region of Field Sales the Account Executive will be responsible for the following primary duties:
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders to drive pipeline and close business in the Core and Supplemental line of business at HMH.
- Forecast accurately and use data in Salesforce and of the territory to identify, progress and close sales opportunities in Salesforce, using the tools provided by HMH to support working the territory.
- Use internal processes, systems, internal partners, and teams to develop and execute an account plan to identify customer needs and position HMH solutions. Execute the plan to build pipeline that is at least 2.5 times the sales quota, work opportunities, and close business for quota achievement.
- Respond to customer requests and concerns in a timely manner, developing trust working toward becoming a trusted advisor in your territory. Understand the HMH internal processes and route requests and needs appropriately while monitoring customer inquiries to resolution.
What you’ll need:
- Minimum 5 year of experience in educational sales or related field
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Technical understanding of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and LMSs
- Experience managing complex tasks, multiple accounts and consultative selling
- Ability to communicate effectively, understand the customer roles, manage the customer relationships, and position HMH products as a trusted partner
- People skills needed to build and leverage relationships to close business, manage customer expectations, and communicate confidently with all levels of school district leadership including superintendents.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends, and travel up to 80%.
- A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 plus sales incentives
