What you’ll do:

You are a passionate researcher and who wants to help shape and define a best-in-class user experience for millions of K-12 students and teachers. You are familiar with a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods, including surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, and 1:1 interviews.

Working with cross-functional teams of Product Designers and Learning Architects, you will be responsible for planning and executing various types of studies in an agile model to meet research objectives. You are an enthusiastic data analyst to help teams make informed data driven decisions to create the most intuitive, accessible, and seamless digital experiences. You also enjoy the administrative aspects of user research such as recruiting and scheduling participants.

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Product UX Researcher, you bring a wide range of knowledge, experience, and skills in user research to:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally within an agile development model to plan the research activity.
  • Identify the best method that aligns to the team’s research objectives.
  • Develop the research protocol that will provide valid data and create user-centric insights.
  • Assist with the research execution by managing the database, recruiting, scheduling moderating studies, and compensation.
  • Analyze the research data by using sound analytical skills to tag, synthesize and compile.
  • Create and present the reports in a persuasive and compelling manner to stakeholders so that the cross-functional team’s decisions are data-driven.

What you’ll need: (Required to perform this role)

  • Bachelor’s in a human behavior related field (Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Social Science, Statistics, Design, Business, Behavioral or Microeconomics, Technical Communication or other related fields) or equivalent experience
  • 1 years of UX research experience desired
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Ability to participate with quantitative and qualitative research
  • Knowledge of market and ethnographic research
  • Experience with remote testing and tools
  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data
  • Experience in research tools such as UserZoom, Qualtrics, Dscout, etc.
  • Must be a strong collaborator across diverse groups, including SMEs, UX/UI designers, Product Owners, and Developers cross-functional teams.
  • Capacity to work well with creatives to embrace, collaborate and work with other ideas
  • Knowledge of User Centered Design principles and UX best practices
  • Writing and communication
  • Experience in Educational Publishing a plus
  • Experience in Agile
